To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants is a television special episode of SpongeBob SquarePants airing as part of the sixth season. It aired in the United States on July 17, 2009. The 100-episode event aired before that episode during July 17–19, 2009.[1] On July 21, The DVD will release with seven new direct-to-DVD episodes.

When Spongebob's pants shrink in the dryer he starts wearing round pants, causing people to not recognize him. Because of this, he tries to re-gain his job at The Krusty Krab.
